Honda QC3 Electric Scooter Launched at Rs 1.35 Lakh

Launch Overview

Honda has introduced the QC3, its third electric scooter for the Indian market, following the QC1 and Activa e:. The new model is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex‑showroom, Delhi) and will initially be available in five cities: Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam. A nationwide rollout is planned in phases.

Key Specifications

The QC3 is powered by a 3kWh battery that reaches full charge in roughly four hours, while a 0‑to‑80 percent charge takes two hours and forty minutes. Honda said the scooter delivers the longest range among its current e‑scooter lineup. A hub‑mounted motor and front disc brake provide reliable performance.

Pricing and Market Position

Local manufacturing enables a more competitive price point compared with Honda’s earlier electric models. The QC3 directly competes with the TVS iQube 3.1kWh (Rs 1.30 lakh), Chetak C3502 (Rs 1.44 lakh), Vida VX2 Plus 3.1 (Rs 1.03 lakh) and the newly launched Ather Konarc S 161 (Rs 1.45 lakh). All prices are ex‑showroom, Delhi.

Competitive Edge

With a larger battery than the QC1 and a claimed range that exceeds the Activa e:’s 102km, the QC3 addresses previous criticisms about value for money. Honda also highlighted the convenience of a removable battery, which in earlier models occupied most of the boot space.

Availability and Bookings

Deliveries have not yet been announced, but customers in the launch cities can place a booking for Rs 5,000 through Honda’s website or at any RedWing dealership. The company said that the QC3 is part of a broader portfolio that will eventually include ten announced models, with three more pending launch.
