Renault launched the Triber Turbo in India, setting ex-showroom prices between Rs 7.84 lakh and Rs 8.99 lakh for the higher-powered variant of its seven-seater compact multi-purpose vehicle.

The turbocharged models cost between Rs 94,000 and Rs 1.11 lakh more than equivalent naturally aspirated versions. The vehicle is available across three manual-transmission trims: the Evolution Turbo at Rs 7.84 lakh, the Techno Turbo at Rs 8.53 lakh, and the Emotion Turbo at Rs 8.99 lakh. Selecting dual-tone paint on the top-tier Emotion trim adds Rs 21,000 to the purchase price.

Engine Specifications and Performance

Power comes from a 1.0-litre three-cylinder HR10 turbocharged petrol engine. A revised engine management system allows the powertrain to produce 100 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. Official figures indicate a zero to 100 km/h acceleration time of 10.8 seconds.

A five-speed manual transmission handles power delivery at launch. A continuously variable automatic transmission option is scheduled to join the lineup at a later date.

Design and Cabin Features

Exterior styling remains consistent with the naturally aspirated model, featuring a gloss-black front grille, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, functional roof rails, and clear-lens LED tail-lamps. A dedicated badge on the tailgate identifies the turbo variant.

The interior retains a three-row layout capable of seating seven passengers, providing 625 liters of boot capacity when the third row is folded. Equipment highlights include:

• A seven-inch digital instrument cluster
• Automatic climate control with independent rear blower controls
• A cooled central storage box and wireless smartphone charging pad

Safety Equipment and Platform

Built on the Renault Group Entry Platform, the vehicle includes six airbags, Isofix child-seat anchors, hill-start assist, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. Software for the anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control was retuned specifically to manage the higher power output of the turbocharged engine.
