Skoda will raise India ex‑showroom car prices by up to 1.2% (Rs 20,000) from Oct. 1, 2026, citing higher costs and ahead of the Slavia facelift launch.

Skoda will increase prices across its entire India portfolio on Oct. 1, 2026, with the maximum rise limited to 1.2 percent at the ex‑showroom level.
The company said rising input and operational costs prompted the revision. The exact increase will vary by model and variant, but no single model will cost more than Rs 20,000 above its current price.
Current prices and maximum hikes
Skoda’s Indian lineup includes the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq. Their current ex‑showroom price ranges are:
- Kylaq – Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh, up to Rs 15,588
- Slavia – Rs 10.00 lakh to Rs 18.19 lakh, up to Rs 20,000
- Kushaq – Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh, up to Rs 20,000
- Kodiaq – Rs 36.99 lakh to Rs 66.99 lakh, up to Rs 20,000
The figures reflect the announced 1.2 percent ceiling and the Rs 20,000 cap. Skoda has not disclosed the precise hike for each variant.
Upcoming Slavia facelift
The price revision arrives five days before the facelifted Slavia sedan launches on Oct. 6. Production of the updated model has begun at Skoda’s Chakan plant, and bookings are already open.
Earlier price adjustments
Skoda raised prices in January, affecting the Slavia, Kylaq and Kushaq. The Slavia’s price rose by up to Rs 34,000, the Kylaq by up to Rs 19,000, and the Kushaq by Rs 5,000‑7,000.
Industry context
The October hike comes ahead of India’s festive season, when demand for new cars typically spikes. Several other manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra and Tata Motors, have announced price increases in recent months.
Analysts expect the combined effect of higher input costs and seasonal demand to shape pricing strategies across the Indian auto market for the rest of the year.
