The St. Louis Business Journal released a new app on Google Play, delivering local business news to smartphones.

App content

The app aggregates daily headlines across commercial real estate, banking, health care, residential real estate, small‑business trends, travel, tourism, jobs and other regional topics. Users can browse stories, receive push alerts and access weekly digital editions.

Subscription options

New users may purchase a subscription directly within the app. Existing print or digital subscribers can log in to unlock the same features, although not every subscription tier is supported yet. Subscriptions are sold as in‑app purchases and renew automatically unless the user disables auto‑renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Renewal and cancellation

When a renewal approaches, the account is charged and the cost is displayed in the app. Users can manage their subscription or turn off auto‑renew in the Account Settings. The current subscription cannot be cancelled while it is active.

Privacy and data handling

The developer, American City Business Journals, Inc., states that the app encrypts data in transit and does not share personal information with third parties. Collected data include location, personal identifiers and usage metrics, which are used only to improve the service.
